At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, AAU Energy, a position as Research Assistant in Humidity and Moisture Effects and Power Cycling of Power Electronic Components is open for appointment from 1st February 2022 or soon hereafter. The position is for 1 year.

AAU Energy has approx. 300 employees of many nationalities, of which 25 are administrative staff. In addition, AAU Energy constantly has approx. 50-70 guest researchers from around the world.
Research and teaching are in the absolute world elite in the field of energy, and we have extensive and leading workshop and laboratory facilities, where research and innovation are carried out in direct collaboration with industry to a great extent.
Job description
The position is offered in relation to the Reliable Power Electronic Components (REPEC) research program and the research assistant will be positioned to the section for Applied Power Electronic Systems (APES).
Research areas will be primarily on the effects of humidity and moisture on reliability of power electronic components and assemblies and power cycling platform design for modern power electronic components. Experience in both the field of the humidity effects and the reliability assessment, i.e. power cycling design and testing will be an important value added.

Qualification requirements
The required level of qualifications is at master level. The candidate must be able to prove a large experience (1 year at least) and expertise in both fields of moisture/humidity effects on electronic components and assemblies and on reliability testing. Appointment will be for a period of one year. Reappointment may be made, but a Research Assistant can only be appointed to Research Assistant in the same institution for a period of maximum three years.
The required level of qualifications is at master level.
