The job
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Programme Manager to ensure the effective scoping, planning, execution, and follow-up on DTU’s lifelong learning initiatives in collaboration with DTU departments and strategic partners. You will be part of a team with highly skilled colleagues and collaborate with colleagues from across DTU departments as well as a large range of external partners, including prospective participants, strategic partners, relevant ministries, professional associations, universities, and other relevant organisations. 
Your primary areas of responsibility will be to:

  • Contribute to the development of lifelong learning at DTU
  • Develop, scope and plan new initiatives and prepare decision material, incl. concept descriptions, collaboration agreements, and business models
  • Support the execution, management and follow-up of approved initiatives
  • Ensure active stakeholder engagement and facilitate collaboration between departments and units at DTU and with external strategic partners
  • Follow-up and report on financial performance of ongoing initiatives
  • Develop and improve repeatable operating models for developing, executing and following up on DTU’s lifelong learning initiatives
  • Actively contribute to team spirit and knowledge sharing

You will report to Head of Continuing Education, Dagnia Looms.

Our expectations of you
You have a Master’s degree in science, engineering, business, innovation management or similar and +8 years of work experience with a strong track record in managing complex, dynamic programmes with many stakeholders, preferably delivering educational or training content in unique learning environments. You have experience in project management, organizational development, strategy, and/or business development and a track record in managing several projects simultaneously. You are passionate about setting new standards for lifelong learning and have comprehensive knowledge about the Danish university system with a focus on the fields of natural sciences and engineering and you have an understanding of concepts, practices, policies, and procedures regarding research-based education.

Professional competences:

  • Ability to generate new ideas, conceptualise ideas, and come up with innovative solutions
  • Capable facilitator, excellent analytical and organizing skills
  • Excellent command of project/programme management techniques and tools for keeping track of programme details and budgets
  • Independent and confident decision maker, able to provide input on issues relating to content, communication as well as strategy development and implementation
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Danish (written as well as oral)
  • Proficient user of modern IT and office software

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You are employed as an academic employee.
Starting date is as soon as possible. The position is a full-time position. Occasionally, the position requires working outside normal office hours, due to educational activities being scheduled at these times.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
