Offer Description

Do you want to work with recycling of composite wind turbine blades and help improving circularity in the wind turbine industry towards a sustainable future?

The CraCS research group is currently looking for candidates for two three-year positions (1 postdocs and 1 laboratory engineer) in the EU Horizon Europe project MADE4WIND. The MADE4WIND project aims to develop and test innovative components' concepts for a 15MW offshore Floating Wind Turbine (FWT) consisting of new designs and manufacturing techniques for blades, substructure, and drivetrain.

Partners behind the MADE4WIND project consist of international and world-leading experts gathered from research institutions, material suppliers, and wind turbine manufacturers.

New blade recycling processes enabling recycling and reuse of fibre reinforcement materials from end-of-life composite structures will be the focus of the positions. We will cover conceptual design, process modelling, experimental characterization, as well the establishment of lab-scale demonstrators of the developed composite recycling technologies.

For more information about this exciting opportunity in the MADE4WIND project, we encourage you to click on the attached links. There, you will find additional details about the project, the research group, and the application process. The position includes a competitive salary (including compulsory pension saving) starting at ~5700€ per month but is up for negotiation depending on qualifications and experience.

Join the CraCS research group at the AAU Materials and Production , Aalborg University and be a part of a dynamic team that is leading the way in wind energy technology.

Apply now and jump onboard on an exciting and rewarding journey.
