Postdoc position (100%, 3 years) in Social Data Science, with a focus on personality and digital behavioral change interventions

The Copenhagen Center for Social Data Science (SODAS, https://sodas.ku.dk/ ), Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen (UCPH), invites candidates for a postdoctoral position (100%, 3 years). Supported by the Independent Research Fund Denmark, the position has affiliations to both the Copenhagen Personality and Social Psychology (CoPSY, www.copsy.dk ) research group at the Department of Psychology and SODAS. The primary supervisor will be Ingo Zettler, Professor in Personality and Social Behavior.

The preferred starting date is 1 March 2022, but an earlier or later starting date might also be possible. The position is for 36 months.

Duties and Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will primarily work in a project developing and testing digital interventions aimed at promoting people’s pro-environmental behavior. The chosen candidate is expected to publish scientific articles as well as to present at international conferences. The chosen candidate will also be part of the recently formed SODAS-Climate, a new platform for SODAS-researchers interested in using social data science techniques and methods to address issues of climate, environment and green transition. In general, the position is highly research-focused.

Your Competencies and Opportunities

The candidate must have obtained a PhD degree in Behavioral Science, Environmental Science, Psychology, Social Data Science, or any related field. It is desired that applicants have already gained experiences in one or more of the following areas: behavioral change interventions, digital interventions, environmental behavior, register data. Further, it is desired that applicants have strong methodological skills (preferably working in the R environment), for instance, with regard to online surveys and experiments, experience sampling methodology, or randomized controlled trials. It is expected that applicants have publication experiences in internationally recognized scientific journals.

Danish proficiency is not required to fill the position.
