Postdoc of Quantum Materials Innovation

We are seeking one or more postdoctoral fellows to investigate novel materials synthesis and fabrication processes for novel qubit platforms. The candidate will be part of a team that is responsible innovation fabrication of qubit processor units and explores novel materials and material combinations with potential for disrupting existing qubit platform technologies.   

The postdoc’s duties will include research within Quantum Materials as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties. 

Description of the scientific environment:
The Center for Quantum Devices is a research center comprising materials research, experimental solid-state physics, quantum nanoelectronics, and condensed matter theory. The Center provides a vibrant scientific environment with cutting-edge research performed across many different groups spread across condensed matter and superconducting qubit experiments with close ties to a strong theory department as well as longstanding collaborations with industry. The work will take place in close collaboration with the newly established NNF Quantum Computing Programme, also located at the Niels Bohr Institute.

The position is open from 1 March 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The duration is 1 year with possible extension upon mutual agreement.

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
