Postdoc of haptics, natural language processing, and human-computer interaction

From simple vibrations to touchable holograms in midair, haptic technology enables us to feel virtual or remote content and people. Recent work suggests that people have a rich language for describing haptic signals. This project will explore the use of natural language processing techniques for predicting user descriptions of haptic signals and guiding haptic signal design.

The postdoc’s duties will include research within natural language processing, haptics, and human-computer interaction. The post may also include performance of other duties. The postdoctoral position is supervised by Dr. Hasti Seifi, and it involves a research stay at Arizona State University in the United States.

Terms of employment

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
