Job Description

If you are keen to contribute to vaccine development in an interdisciplinary environment, this position could be a good fit. We are investigating a vaccine platform technology for infectious disease and cancer. The research is anchored in glycobiology and spans synthetic chemistry, biophysics, chemical biology, and immunology. 

The senior researchers involved in the project are Prof. Mads H. Clausen (DTU Chemistry) and Senior Researcher Anders Elias Hansen (DTU Health Tech).

Responsibilities and qualifications
The main responsibility of the position is the immunological characterization and vaccine development in the project. You are expected to work independently and coordinate your research with the other team members. Undergraduate research projects can be integrated in the project, and you are expected to interact with students and co-supervise those projects. Additionally, a limited amount of teaching responsibilities can be expected.

  • Candidates should have a PhD degree in cell biology, immunology, or similar, with a strong background in experimental research and a license for experimental animal work.
  • An interest in chemical biology and vaccine development and a desire to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • A documented track record in immunology research and a strong commitment to research.
  • Independence and good communication skills.

In the assessment of the candidates, consideration will be given to:

  • Relevance of background experience.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and good communication skills.

As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Salary and terms of employment 
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
