Job Description

The dynamical system section at DTU Compute is looking for postdoc researchers to join projects that aims  on digitalization of the energy and mobility sectors. The projects will use existing and emerging European data and cloud infrastructures to enable innovative and sustainable solutions for energy production, distribution, and consumption, as well as for transportation efficiency, reliability, and safety. The projects will involve stakeholder engagement across EU and dissemination activities to ensure the success and sustainability of the project outcomes.
You will become a member of the dynamical systems group, working alongside colleagues with diverse backgrounds. Your primary role will be to contribute to project tasks that demand a deep understanding of architectural design and a comprehensive knowledge of system integration tools and a good overview of the energy sector. To excel in this role, you must possess a thorough understanding of the latest trends in cloud computing, data analysis, and integration tools.  The projects details will be disclosed to the shortlisted candidates during the interview process.
Responsibilities and qualifications
As a postdoc researcher in this group,

  • You will be designing and developing solutions for energy and mobility systems, using data-driven and AI-based approaches.
  • You will conduct research on new methods and technologies to integrate exiting tools and models into ongoing projects.
  • In collaboration with your colleagues, you will engage in project management activities and funding applications related to your field of research.
  • You will work in close collaboration with academic and industry partners.
  • Contributing to ongoing activities within the group.
  • Contribute to students’ supervision. 
  • You are expected to contribute to publishing the project results 

You should have a strong background in smart energy and mobility systems or system architecture. A commitment to teamwork, innovation, and continuous development within this field is essential for success in this role.

  • Research experience in smart energy systems (Smart grids, EVs, Power-to-X )
  • knowledge and experience of the cutting-edge technologies for smart grid or smart cities
  • Research vision and potential
  • Self-motivated and highly independent
  • Internal and external collaboration
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Background in software development (preferred)

As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Salary and terms of employment 
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 2 years.
