Job Description

DTU Compute is a unique and internationally recognized academic department with approx. 400 employees and 11 research sections spanning the science disciplines mathematics, statistics, computer science, and engineering. With this opening we invite applications for a position as part-time lecturer. The candidate will assist with course development, assessment, administration and lecturing in the course 02285 Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems. This course introduces students to advanced techniques within symbolic AI, with particular focus on automated planning and multi-agent systems.
Responsibilities and qualifications
Your main responsibility will be to assist the course responsible in various aspects of the teaching, including course development, assessment, administration and lecturing. Course development includes maintenance and development of the code base for the course. The course is taught every spring on Tuesday afternoons, and the estimated workload is 120 hours per semester.
Applicants are required to have strong skills in the subject areas of the course, including automated planning, heuristic search and multiagent systems. Furthermore, applicants should have good communication skills and existing experience in assisting in course teaching and development, at least at the level of a teaching assistant. Strong analytical and mathematical abilities is a requirement, as well as strong programming competences.     
Applicants for the post of part-time lecturer must have a master’s degree, as well as additional qualifications at a high level, for example, particular areas of specialisation, expertise or practical experience achieved through employment involving practical application of the discipline. Teaching qualifications form part of the basis of the assessment.

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement for part-time lecturers at universities and other institutions.
