Job Description

Looking for a place that unites your passion for technology, climate and positive change in society? Are you experienced in mobilizing people; crafting engaging narratives; building strong brands; and creating action, excitement and collaboration around your activities? Then we are your people - and perhaps new colleagues.
The new program DTU Earthbound - located at the university’s innovation hub DTU Skylab - is looking for an experienced communications professional with solid skills in strategy development; conceptualizing of creative concepts, participatory formats, digital campaigns; curation and content; brand building and management.
In this role, you will oversee and execute our communications and mobilization efforts. You will support a team of four people, including our Impact Lead, Event Lead, Communications Assistant and Event Assistant.
Who are we?
DTU Earthbound is a climate tech catalyst designed to mobilize, nurture and mature climate-relevant deep tech science across DTU’s academic ecosystem and hatch early-stage startups.
DTU Earthbound is embedded at DTU Skylab; the innovation hub of DTU with a vibrant community supporting diverse activities such as curricular courses, company collaborations, and start-up support programmes. In the 10 years that DTU Skylab has existed, it has become a dynamic innovation hub with 5000+ m2 of offices, teaching facilities, workshops, and laboratories.
The DTU Earthbound program is a tight-knit team of eight employees that work with both scientists and students at DTU to ensure that more research, ideas and action on campus are targeted at the climate challenges we are facing. Over the next couple of years, Earthbound is on a mission to mobilize and support new climate startups and see them spin out of the university into life as a company. To find these cases, we do extensive mobilization work around DTU’s many departments, initiatives and students. This is where you and your team come in. Launched in November 2023, this new initiative is made possible by DTU; its innovation unit DTU Skylab and the early-stage venture house, PreSeed Ventures.

  • Planning and coordination of mobilization activities with Earthbound Event Lead and Event Student.
  • Content, curation and program development and planning around our signature events.
  • Hands-on execution of events with the rest of the team.

The role in general:
