Job Description

Are you ready to make your legal mark in the area where safeguarding data privacy meets supercomputer technology? As our new Legal Counsel, your expertise in compliance, within in GDPR and information security, will be the guiding light in building up a new Pan-European cloud service provider.

We are looking for a solution-oriented Legal Counsel, who will work with a wide variety of tasks, however your primary tasks will be to further develop and maintain our comprehensive compliance framework within GDPR and information security. You will also advise Computerome CEO on general legal matters.

Computerome comprises of a large 50.000 CPU cluster and a 50 PB file system, combined with a custom-built secure cloud environment to accommodate sensitive data handling. Compliance is the foundation for the services provided at Computerome and is built into all technical decisions both in terms of operations and new developments.

The job

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with GDPR and other regulative requirements (ISAE 3000, NIS2, ISO ect.).
  • Conduct impact and risk assessments and managing GDPR-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT and cybersecurity colleagues, to develop and implement information security policies and protocols.
  • Stay updated on changes in data protection laws and regulations and assess their impact on operations in place.
  • Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements and general contract management
  • General legal aid.

Our expectations of you

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Documented experience practicing law and legal aid.
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other relevant data protection laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be a team player

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) or any other relevant agreement.
