Head of Career Services, MBA programmes

Copenhagen Business School is looking for a Head of Career Services to join a diverse and international team of 16 fulltime individuals and 5 student helpers. The Head of Career Services will report to the MBA Director and will be heading the Career Services team of currently 2 employees working with the Head of Career Services.

The Head of Career Services’ main responsibilities will be:

  • To boost the employability rate of the MBA students
  • To manage the Career Services area and the activities related to the area
  • To help provide guidance to students and manage activities that prepare and help them in their job search
  • To engage with a network of stakeholders, search agents and internal relations to support the career function
  • To help establish contact and relations with a number of companies who would recruit the MBA students
  • To further develop the strategy for the area
  • To work closely together with the admissions teams and marketing team to support the recruitment of the right profiles to our MBA programme

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Understanding of the job market in Denmark and in major international recruiting markets
  • Experience from a similar position, but not necessarily as the head of the area
  • Leadership qualities that include some experiences with managing network-based activities
  • Masters Level Education (MBA would be considered an advantage, but not a necessity)
  • Project and Proces Management
  • Coaching skills
  • Relationship building skills

The MBA programmes

CBS offers 3 MBA programmes which all have a class size of approximately 45 students. The fulltime MBA is a 1-year programme and a class typically have 95% international students with an average age of 30. Between 50% and 80% of the students will secure a job in Denmark after their MBA. The Executive MBA students have an average age of 39 and approximately 30% of a class are international students. The BLUE MBA is the Executive MBA specialized in Shipping and Logistics and approximately 60% of a class are international students.

Salary and employment

Employment and salary will be in accordance with the current agreement made by the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations with regulation and salary dependent on qualifications and experience. It is possible to negotiate personal allowances upon employment. The position is 37 hours a week.
