Executive Director for part-time programmes at CBS | CBS - Copenhagen Business School

CBS is looking for an Executive Director to guide the continuing education area into the future

Are you our new Executive Director and would like to help fulfil Copenhagen Business School’s high ambitions for all our tuition­funded degree programmes (MBA, EMBA, specialised masters, graduate diploma (HD)) with around 5000 students? If yes, we expect you to be a highly visionary agenda-setter while shaping our part-time programme portfolio to make it world­class in all aspects and a key component in Northern Europe's developing landscape for life­long learning. You will achieve commercial growth while simultaneously delivering on key quality parameters and assuring administrative and operational excellence in:

  • Commercial and financial planning 
  • Recruitment and admissions 
  • Career services
  • International relationships 
  • Student support
  • Stakeholder support (Advisory board, Alumni Society) and accreditations
  • Faculty support and quality control

The new Executive Director will report directly to the Dean of Education and be a trusted advisor to the associate deans who – as faculty members – lead the programmes academically with the study boards. The new Executive Director will also be member of the Dean’s Educational Leadership Team.
The position is based in Copenhagen, one of the most livable cities in the world, and includes a lot of international travel. 

Skills and capabilities
We expect you to: 

  • Navigate a politically driven organisation and have insight into political developments in the continuing education area
  • Have thorough knowledge of the Danish education system at university level as well as management education and complex academic environments in Scandinavia and the rest of the world 
  • Have a large international network and know how to work in a Nordic context
  • Be highly experienced in leadership and development of continuing education activities at university level, have exceptional leadership skills and experience in leading leaders
  • Work determinedly with programme development and change management, be performance- and quality-oriented, have solid cultural insight and know how to inspire, listen and foster relations 
  • Be commercially aware and have insight into market conditions for tuition-funded programmes nationally as well as internationally

Education
A university degree from a reputable university or business school.

Professional experience
Preferably, you have years of experience from similar roles at internationally renowned business schools/universities and with staff, budgets and results. Simultaneously, you are experienced in staff development and mentoring as well as product and market development. 

Salary and terms of employment
Employment and remuneration take place in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the relevant organisation with classification and remuneration depending on qualifications and experience. Upon employment, it will be possible to negotiate personal allowances.
