The position is allocated in the Geodesy research group, which covers a broad range of geodetic topics like reference frames, surveying, GNSS, uplift, subsidence, Earth observation, and surveying technology. Main research of the Geodesy research group is currently focused on water monitoring from space, atmospheric remote sensing, geodetic surveying, and data assimilation into Earth system models. The teaching activities as Associate Professor will include lecturing, practical exercises, supervision, coordination, and planning of courses and semesters at bachelor and master level primarily within surveying study, e.g., GNSS and least squares adjustment.

Qualification requirements: 

The level of qualification for Associate Professors shall correspond to the level, which can be achieved on the basis of the appointment as Assistant Professor, but may be achievable in other ways. The appointment presupposes that the applicant can demonstrate original scientific production at an international level as well as documented teaching qualifications. Appointment to the position requires that both research and teaching qualifications are at the requested level. The two qualifications will be given equal and principal priority in the overall assessment.
