3-year Assistant Professorship at the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research

At the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Reseach (Center for Rusmiddelforskning  - CRF), Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, Aarhus University, a 3-year position as an Assistant Professor is currently available for appointment starting from August 15th 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applicants with research experience within social sciences related to substance use or related areas will be given preference. CRF focuses on four main areas: treatment, policy, consumption, and prevention.  Please see www.crf.au.dk for further information.

The Assistant Professor position is an open posting within these specified research areas. Applicants are expected to include one or more specific research proposals in their application, which the Assistant Professor will focus on.



Qualification requirements

Appointment as an Assistant Professor requires scientific qualifications at the PhD level.



Who we are

At the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research we carry out social-science research in the alcohol and drug field. Our research projects concerns the treatment, prevention, policy and recreational consumption. We conduct research in both legal and illegal drugs.

The Centre is interdisciplinary and the employees are based on, among other things, anthropology, psychology, sociology, law and public health. Our task is to establish and conduct research projects, teach, communicate knowledge about alcohol and drug use, and collaboration with national players in the area as well as international research institutions. The Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences is one of six departments at Aarhus BSS - one of the five faculties at Aarhus University.
