We are presently taking part in several ongoing research and development projects addressing integrity management of structures. In this context, with the objective to minimize service life costs, extend service lives and detect damages before they become critical, we want to explore the potentials of combining risk based inspection planning (RBI), Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), probabilistic Digital Twins (DT), recent developments in Big Data technologies and highly efficient reliability analysis techniques.

Application areas include, but are not limited to; offshore wind turbine structures and parks, roadway traffic infrastructure systems and energy distribution systems.

Limited teaching within the area can be expected, especially within the educational program of Risk and Safety Management
