Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, hereby invites applications for the following position

Researcher/postdoc/expert in organic chemistry (FTE 1.0)

for the Skin Barrier Research Group.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Chemistry/Science/Pharmacy/Medicine (or expectation of obtaining a PhD in the near future)
  • Qualifications in organic synthesis of lipids
  • Publication record in organic chemistry
  • Active knowledge of English
  • Flexibility, diligence, thoroughness, and responsibility, good organizational and communication skills, ability to work both independently and in a team, high level of work commitment

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out experimental research in the Skin Barrier Research Group, including synthesis of lipids (mainly sphingolipids) and their analogs, including oxidised, deuterated or otherwise labelled ones, characterisation of the prepared components by physical methods, coordination of experiments with international collaborators, data processing, presentation and publication of results.

Ability to start in July 2024 and experience in physical chemistry, biophysics or analytical chemistry is an advantage.

Estimated monthly salary: 45,000 CZK (with the possibility of an increase to 60,000 CZK if the contract is extended)

Expected start date: 01 July 2024 or by agreement

Type of contract: Full-time (1.0 FTE) for a fixed term until 31 December 2024 with the possibility of contract extension.
