Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, represented by the Dean of the Faculty, announces an open competition according to the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions

for the project New Technologies for Translational Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences /NETPHARM,
Project No.: CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004607,

within the Operation Programme Johannes Amos Commenius (OP JAK), P 1: Research and Development, SO 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and deploying advanced technologies,

to fill research position:

FaF_VZ3_64: Researcher (Ph.D.), 0,4 FTE (40 %),

Place of work: Hradec Králové

Responsibilities:

  • The researcher will independently perform research activities in the relevant field,
  • will promptly escalate any identified risks to a superior position,
  • design, organization of work, planning and execution of experiments for VZ3, publication of scientific results,
  • preparation and testing of nanoparticle drug formulations,
  • evaluation of properties of prepared nanoformulations (DLS, microelectrophoresis, evaluation of drug dissolution profiles),
  • cultivation of cell lines and ensuring the operation of the laboratory for work with cell lines,
  • assessment of biocompatibility, study of interactions of prepared formulations with cells in vitro (e.g. monitoring viability and expression of inflammatory and anti-inflammatory markers using PCR methods),
  • studying the immunogenicity of nanocarriers and medicated nanoparticles using PCR methods,
  • statistical evaluation of data obtained on cell lines,
  • preparation of formulations for in vivo imaging and coordination of cooperation on in vivo experiments including data interpretation,
  • will present and publish the achieved results on an international level,
  • will be involved in the preparation of related national and international projects,
  • will participate in key project activities with an emphasis on application potential.

Profile:

  • An advantage is 1 first-authored publication, a letter of recommendation from 2 experts in the field (at least 1 from a foreign workplace), required education in the relevant field, grant activity, active knowledge of the English language.
  • Scientific and publication activity in the field of pharmaceutical technology and nanotechnology, biotechnology and modern drug systems for targeted distribution or pharmacology.
  • Experience with colloidal pharmaceutical forms, their stabilization and in vitro testing, including cell line cultivation and work with cell isolates.
  • Education and PhD in the field of pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology and pharmacology is an advantage.

The estimated monthly wage: 45 000 CZK (1,0 FTE)

The start of work: Can be negotiated

Type of employment contract: for 1-3 years, with the expectation that the contract will be extended until 29 February 2028.

Employment: part-time (0.4 FTE).
