Research focus of the expert team: Printed electronics and Smart textiles / Smart textiles / Sensors and detectors

The postdoc is expected to conduct research in one of three following topics depending on which one will he/she apply for and also on his/her scientific focus and experience:

Printed electronics and Smart textiles

Research of printing technologies and materials of contact, interconnecting and components structures for power and non-power applications.

Smart textiles

Research of smart functional textiles with integrated electronic and sensor elements and systems focusing on functional textile components (textile electrodes, sensors, antennas, electronic elements, functional fibres and threads, contact and interconnecting structures).

Sensors and detectors

Research of chemo-resistant and electro-chemical sensors for measurement of physical quantities and chemical substances. It predominantly focuses on research of planar sensor structures based on organic and inorganic compounds.

Selected researcher will strengthen an existing top-quality research team of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. His/her main tasks will be to engage in the activities of the team of experts under the guidance of a mentor and to fulfill tasks specified by the R&D activity plan. His/her own scientific work will include publication of R&D results in prestigious foreign impact journals, participation in major conferences, obtaining applied results, involvement in national and international research projects, and organization of the professional life at the workplace (seminars, conferences).
