Non-academic Staff Member - Project Researcher IV focusing on Soil Ecology and Environmental Chemistry 

Research field: soil organic matter, soil ecology, agriculture, thermogravimetry, environmental chemistry.

We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. Since 2018, we have been the holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award for improving employee care, awarded to us as the first Czech university by the European Commission.

The Soil Ecology Research Group focuses on the integration of technological, pedological and agronomic research approaches to understand agricultural and environmental influences on soil quality and health, fertility, quantity and diversity of soil micro-organisms, and the maintenance or improvement of ecosystem functions.

What will you do?

• solve scientific research and project tasks independently and as part of a team, including international projects
• conducting and evaluating experiments on organic matter and environmental contamination
• professional analytical activities
• publishing activities, preparation of research results (projects)
• participate in ship/field experiments, their design, preparation, execution and evaluation

What are our requirements?

• academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor in at least one of the above research areas
• practical experience in the preparation and execution of research projects
• experience in managing research projects and results
• experience in basic and applied research
• ability to present research results at international level and to publish in leading impact journals in the field of pedology, agriculture, thermal analysis, environmental chemistry
• proven publishing skills
• ability to publish in English
• ability to analyse data statistically
