POSTDOCTORAL POSITION - field of Informatics

Project PPSŘ - Programme for the support of strategic management of the Technical University of Liberec

  • Place of work:   Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Liberec
  • Number of positions:         1
  • Workload:                            100 % (40 hours/week)
  • Salary:                                   payment category A3, in accordance with the Internal Wage Regulations of the Technical University of Liberec, project supplement in accordance with the rules of the financial source
  • Employment contract:        for a fixed term until December 2025, with the possibility of extension, in case of foreign candidates, the signing of the contract is subject to the granting of a visa
  • Start of employment:          from September 2024, or by agreement

Characteristics:

The Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Economics is looking for a postdoctoral fellow who will join the working team of the department and actively participate in both scientific and pedagogical activities. Due to his/her knowledge and experience, the candidate is expected to contribute to pedagogical and scientific activities in the areas of Business Intelligence, Databases, Datamining and Informatics (Information Theory, Information Systems, Hardware).

What will be your job description?

  • active teaching of Informatics subjects in Czech and English
  • publishing in impacted journals
  • active cooperation in preparation and submission of grants and projects

We require:

  • Ph.D. degree or its foreign equivalent in the relevant field obtained at an educational institution other than the Technical University of Liberec no later than five years prior to the submission of an application
  • scientific qualification in the relevant field
  • good teaching skills
  • good communication skills in written and spoken English
  • independence, flexibility in work, responsibility

  • certificate proving the level of proficiency in English language (in case of foreign candidates, a certificate proving the level of Czech language proficiency must also be submitted)

Information about the selection procedure:

The selection procedure will be organized in the first round by examining the documents submitted. In the second round, a personal interview will be carried out with the selected candidates. The selection committee is expected to meet the candidates in the 26th week of 2024. All candidates will be informed of the outcome within 30 days of the end of the selection procedure.

Candidates are entitled to request the feedback on the results of the selection procedure within 30 calendar days of the publication of the results of the selection procedure by e-mail: [email protected] . Within 30 calendar days of receipt of the request, the Technical University of Liberec will send a written statement of the results.
