Department of Molecular Cytology and Cytometry is announcing the position of a young scientist who deals with the regulation of replication, the cell cycle in embryonic stem cells, and during their differentiation into cardiomyocytes. Applicants must master the basic methods of confocal microscopy and must bring with them a new advanced method of quantitative confocal microscopy. It should also have the potential to set up its own research group and try to bring a major scientific project and its funding to this group. A fruitful collaboration with other institutional departments is demanding. We offer an open-space laboratory, equipment of core facilities, including Laboratory of the Cell Biophysics, flow cytometry, and animal facility, and a basic salary for the R1 or R4 research category. Scientist could apply for the internal support of science of the Institute of Biophysics in order to overcome a gap in funding, but grant applications to the Czech Science Foundation or EMBO are important pre-requisites. Applicant must initiate communication with local universities to be the supervisor of Ph.D. thesis and to build his/her team with a diploma or Ph.D. students.
