Academic Staff Member - Assistant Professor for the Department of Business Economics

Research field: business economics, agricultural economics, environmental economics and policy, and bioeconomics

We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. Since 2018, we have been the holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award for improving employee care, awarded to us as the first Czech university by the European Commission.

The Department of Business Economics specializes in business process management, corporate finance, agricultural economics, environmental economics and policy, and bioeconomics.

What will you do?

• implementation of lectures, exercises and seminars in the field of business economics, agricultural economics and bioeconomics with overlap into business economic areas
• supervision and opposition of students theses
• preparation and coordination of scientific research projects, team management
• communicating the results of their scientific research activities to the professional community through publications, especially in professional and scientific journals
• active participation in conferences and seminars
• cooperation with other colleagues

What are our requirements?

• a university degree - rank of associate professor or professor in economics, corporate finance, bioeconomics, agricultural economics, environmental economics and policy or related field;
• excellent active knowledge of the Czech, knowledge of English for teaching, publishing and project work
• demonstrable research activities in bioeconomics, environmental economics and policy or related fields
• experience of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and experience of leading domestic and international research projects
• aptitude for team and independent work
• personal and professional aptitude for teaching
• willingness to work on personal development and qualification growth

Job status:0,5 (20 hours per week), we can arrange for less time
