Job title: Assistant Professor
Field and specialization: Museum studies, history education and public history
Expected salary/job rank: AP2
Full-time position: 1,0 (40 hours per week)
Job description:
- Teaching courses in the Museum Studies programme in the fields of memory policy, public space and history
- Preparation of foreign cooperation projects in the field of SP Museum Studies with a focus on cultural heritage and current issues
- Conducting courses focused on formal and informal historical education
- Conducting theses on museum studies, public history and history education
- Coordination and implementation of cooperation with memory and educational institutions (museum practice, teaching practice)

Skills/Qualifications
- At least a Ph.D. academic degree
- Experience with projects related to cultural heritage or memory institutions
- Experience and practice in university teaching in the minimum scope of one academic year
- Orientation in the interdisciplinary context of applied historiography (museology, museum and heritage education, public history, didactics of history, memory studies) and publications in at least two given areas
- Experience with lecturing workshops/courses for museum professionals, teachers, public
- Experience with the application of the outputs of historiography in the field of education, e.g. development of educational materials in museums or schools
