Postdoctoral fellow position at the Rudjer Boskovic Institute - Division of Molecular Medicine, Laboratory Molecular Virology and Bacteriology, for the work on the  project " The Role of E6 Oncoprotein in HPV-mediated Oncogenesis" funded by Croatian Science Foundation (HrZZ); Area: Natural Sciences, Field: Biology). Fixed-term employment: 4 years maximum. One (1) position. Job title: Postdoctoral Fellow.

In addition to complying with the general criteria for establishing an employment relationship according to Article 39, Paragraph 7 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, applicants should meet the following criteria:

- PhD academic degree in Natural Sciences (field: Biology)

- active knowledge of the English language in speech and writing;

- experience in working with methods of molecular biology and biochemistry.

Specific Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates:

 

- with research experience in protein analyses as well as with experience in microscopy techniques, genetic engineering and genome editing using CRISPR-Cas9 technology;

- with published scientific articles and presentations at conferences as well as with excellent knowledge of the English language

Additional Information
Eligibility criteria

In addition to complying with the general criteria for establishing an employment relationship according to Article 39, Paragraph 7 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, applicants should meet the following criteria:

- PhD academic degree in Natural Sciences (field: Biology)

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.

- active knowledge of the English language in speech and writing;

- experience in working with methods of molecular biology and biochemistry.

In addition to the application form document, applicant needs to provide: Curriculum Vitae (CV), a Certification of Degree, e-mail address of at least one referee, and other evidence needed for satisfying position related selection criteria.

Fixed-term employment: 4 years. The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia for a total of more than four years.

Additional comments

The employment includes a six-month trial period.
