Position Description
The Institute of Natural Sciences (INS, https://ins.sjtu.edu.cn/ ), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is an interdisciplinary platform for conducting first-rate research, education and scientific exchange across the entire spectrum of Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics and Soft Matter, Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, Data Sciences and Machine Learning, Quantum Information and Quantum Computation. There are currently a few open positions at all levels (from postdoctoral fellow to full professor) in Quantum Information and Computation. In particular, recruitment is considered in areas including (though not limited to) quantum error correction, quantum simulation, quantum chemistry, machine learning for quantum systems. Many other areas are also welcome and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Salary and start-up packages including housing subsistence are competitive with the peer institutions in China, and at the international level in special cases. Some of the appointments will be made jointly with the relevant departments on campus. Candidates should provide the following materials for application: curriculum vita including publication list; three letters of references; statement of current and future research plans.
