Department of Biology


Position Summary:

  • Build a large database of animal and plant habitat associations based on compiling multiple existing databases and searching field guides

  • Perform data analysis using R

  • Interpret the data

  • Write data papers (reports)

  • Meet with supervisor and graduate students twice weekly to discuss research project progress


Qualifications:

  • Experience with digitizing information from textbooks

  • Experience manipulating large datasets

  • Good communication and writing skills

  • Background in university ecology courses, preferably have taken BIOL206 and 310

  • Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
