Position Summary:

Lab: Prof. Salmaan Craig, School of Architecture.

Research project: Experimental study of porous building materials. Investigating the optimization of pores for dynamic insulation.

Duties: Preparation of polymer and wood-based materials samples. Thermal property measurements of materials samples (C-Therm Trident). Design and fabrication of polymer and wood-based test panels. Heat exchange experiments with test panels in programmable climate chamber. Data analysis (Mathematica or Matlab). Preparation of publication content. Lab inventory.


Qualifications (skills / experience):
CNC fabrication. Digital parametric modelling (Rhino + Grasshopper or similar). Data analysis and programming (Mathematica or Matlab). Heat-exchanger design theory. Thermal property measurements (C-Therm Trident or similar). Masters degree in architecture or engineering..
