Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Office of Quality Initiatives, the Healthy Workplace Officer is responsible for the management, communications, engagement, and university-wide advancement of healthy workplace strategy, initiatives and services. This role requires experience with facilitation as well as program development, administration, delivery and evaluation. Preference will be given to candidates with background and experience in higher education settings and/or workplace wellness contexts. Key activities associated with this role include:
• Providing support for the Healthy Workplace Committee and Healthy Workplace Champions network
• Promoting Healthy Workplace programs and messaging; tracking participation, soliciting feedback and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Researching leading practice in workplace health and wellness programs and fostering partnerships with community-based organizations and other university program and service providers
• Supporting and facilitating Healthy Workplace strategic planning processes, consultations and conversations with the campus community

Qualifications:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
• Knowledge of healthy workplace policies, procedures, and processes
• Knowledge of office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
• Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
• Knowledge of cultural competency and diversity in a business context
Education and Experience:
The above is normally acquired through:
• The completion of bachelor’s degree, background in psychology, healthcare or related field preferred
• Minimum of three years of program and service delivery experience.
• Experience working with continuous improvement frameworks preferred

This position is regularly required to work on campus. Due to the ongoing dynamic nature of Covid-19, you may be required to work temporarily remotely due to public health requirements. If this happens, you will work with your direct manager to set up a remote work environment including discussing appropriate technology and requirements. You are required to follow all directives to set up a safe and confidential workspace in a remote location and ensure all Carleton property (intellectual and other) is safeguarded. If required to work remotely, you will be notified by your manager when working full time physically onsite will resume.
