Department of Integrated Studies in Education
Position Summary:

The McGill Journal of Education is a bilingual peer-reviewed generalist journal in education, publishing scholarship in English and French. The Journal is seeking a Copyeditor who can assist with the process of preparing accepted manuscripts for publication, particularly copyediting. The Journal is seeking a copyeditor with an excellent command of written French to work with French manuscripts although bilingualism (an excellent command of English) would be an asset.

  • Formatting and copyediting accepted articles for PDF and HTML publication

  • Working in close collaboration with the Managing Editors and MJE Editors

Minimum Education and Experience

High School Diploma with one year of relevant experience in the field of work.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented and flexible with strong computer/technological and editorial skills as well as able to work to a deadline. A good knowledge of APA 7 and Microsoft Office is required. Experience with page layout programs, HTML, Adobe and the structure and language of academic texts would be considered a great asset. Excellent written and reading competencies in French required.
