Offer Description

The selected candidate employed as an Assistant Professor will be obliged to conduct scientific and didactic activities in pedagogy, including raising funds for research, publishing research results in journals and monographs published in the list of scientific journals, and reviewing materials from international conferences, according to art. 267 sec. 3 of the Act of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85, as amended), by the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of November 7, 2018 on the preparation of lists of publishers of scientific monographs and scientific journals and reviewed materials from international conferences (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 349) and other peer-reviewed publications. In addition, the candidate's responsibilities will include active participation in related activities with the functioning and promotion of the Institute of Pedagogy. Didactic activity to the extent specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742), art. 127, point 1.2, point 6.1, point 7 will take place within the field of pedagogy and others, depending on the needs of the fields of study. The candidate's duties will include substantive supervision of student internships, bachelor's and master's theses, coordination works, active participation in organizational and teaching activities.

Research duties: Research work in the discipline of pedagogy, the results of which should be documented by publications, in highly rated journals and scientific monographs included in the list of scientific journals and reviewed materials from international conferences, according to art. 267 sec. 3 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science, with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of November 7, 2018 on the preparation of lists of publishers of scientific monographs and scientific journals and reviewed materials from international conferences (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 349), and then affiliated with the Academy of Piotrków.

Teaching duties: The selected candidate will teach classes at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Academy of Piotrków Trybunalski related to the position of assistant professor within the workload specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science, art. 127, pt. 1.2, point 6.1, point 7 for undergraduate and graduate students and postgraduate studies resulting from the curriculum, including cooperation with external, domestic, and foreign stakeholders.

Organizational duties: organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops; participation in university, faculty, and institute committees and other undertakings related to the process of educating students.

Skills/Qualifications

Requirements:

 1. Holding a Ph.D. degree in the field of social sciences, in the discipline of pedagogy.

2. Possession of documented publications scientific achievements in the field of pedagogy including articles in peer-reviewed magazines (according to lists developed on the basis of art. 267 sec. 2 point 2 of the Act Law on Higher Education and Science).

3. Conducting research in the discipline of pedagogy.

4. Experience in sourcing and implementation research projects.

5. Very good knowledge of English and readiness to conduct classes in English and write projects.

6. Practical experience of at least 5 years work experience in schools and other  educational  institutions.

Skills:

1. Creating study programs in Polish and foreign languages

2. Work in interdisciplinary research teams (domestic/foreign)

3. Conducting classes in English

Specific Requirements

1. Knowledge of the English language and willingness to conducting classes in English.

2. Practical experience of at least 5 years work experience in schools and other educational institutions.
