Offer Description

The Science for Development Center in Digital Agriculture has opened a post-doctoral position in the area of scenario modeling. The Center is led by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), and has the objective to employ digital technologies to promote the sustainable growth of agricultural production and productivity.

The activities include i) Mapping technological development in digital agriculture; ii) Creating a scientific relationship map in digital agriculture; iii) Writing scientific articles related to the work.

The candidate should have received a Ph.D. title within the last 7 years, with experience in agronomy, geoprocessing or computer science. Desired attributes:

- Knowledge in digital agriculture concepts;

- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team;

- Good oral and written communication skills;

- Good reading, writing and interpretation proficiency in English.

The post-doctoral position is open to candidates of any nationality, and has a duration of 2 years. The selected applicant will receive a FAPESP PD Fellowship with a monthly grant of R$ 9,047.40 and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
