Offer Description

This postdoc opportunity consists of developing a project directed towards the creation of an effectiveness clinical trial related to the prevention of suicidal thoughts and behaviors involving pharmacology and psychotherapy, to be developed in partner municipalities. The fellowship holder will be based at the Institute of Psychiatry (IPq) of the University of São Paulo's Medical School (FMUSP) in Brazil.

The candidate must have advanced knowledge in suicidology, research, leadership and team management, preferably of vulnerable communities, an understanding of medical education to lead and guide Undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral students, and advanced knowledge in Statistics. Furthermore, the candidate must have completed a doctorate in the field of Psychiatry and Mental Health and have undergone medical specialization/residency in Psychiatry (due to its psychopharmacological nature).

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
