Offer Description

The Energy Production Innovation Center (EPIC), an Engineering Research Center (ERC) with joint funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and Equinor Brasil and based at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil, has a post-doctoral opportunity in the area of Oil Production Optimization.

The selected candidate will work in EPIC's Research Line 2, “Thermo-Fluid Dynamic Models and Flow Assurance”, in the topic “Optimization of Electrical Submersible Pumping (ESP) Operation”, considering data analysis to identify failures and damages in the artificial oil lifting process.

This project will be supervised by Professor Alberto Luiz Serpa.

The position includes a FAPESP scholarship of R$ 9,047.40 per month, access to the UNICAMP health system and a technical reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
