Applications are open until March 8, 2024 for a post-doctoral fellowship to conduct research on Natural Products in Peptide Chemistry or Chemical Ecology at the Center for Natural Product Bioassays, Biosynthesis and Ecophysiology (NuBBE ) lab affiliated with São Paulo State University's Institute of Chemistry (IQ-UNESP) in Araraquara, São Paulo state, Brazil.

Enthusiastic and motivated candidates are invited to apply for a 12-month post-doctoral position, available for immediate start in March 2024, in the NuBBE group, with a competitive scholarship (R$ 9,047.40 monthly) plus benefits. This position in Chemical Science of Natural Products will be supervised by Professor Vanderlan Bolzani and consists of investigations regarding cyclopeptides which focuses on isolation, structural elucidation, synthesis and metabolomics in order to study the effect of the expression of these molecules and regulation of their function between plant organs where they are biosynthesized, as well as investigating the impact of these molecules on the migration and cytotoxicity of breast cancer cells.

A PhD in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a similar field is required. Previous knowledge of synthesis and natural products is recommended. This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
