Offer Description

The Laboratory of Multitrophic Interactions and Biodiversity at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil is currently offering an exciting post-doctoral opportunity focusing on the impacts of stream contaminations (pollution and sewage) on terrestrial food webs, using molecular (eDNA and iDNA) and ecological network techniques. We seek motivated researchers with experience in eDNA (and/or iDNA) analyses and, to some extent, ecological network analyses and bioinformatics. This postdoc position is associated with a project funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and led by Prof. Romero, so resources are available to cover all molecular analyses.

Candidates should hold a PhD degree in a scientific area relevant to this project (e.g., ecology, conservation, environmental sciences).

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
