Offer Description

The project “Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in the context of dealing with Disasters (CODeS): computational tools in integrated data analysis” offers a post-doctoral position to design, develop and evaluate supervised and unsupervised machine learning models, which generate fuzzy rule bases with a focus on interpretability, in addition to creating graphical representations of the results obtained and collaborating in offering short courses and co-authoring papers.

The successful candidate will be granted a 10-month post-doctoral fellowship (from 04/01/2024 to 01/31/2025) awarded by FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation. He/she will conduct research at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) in São Paulo state, Brazil.

Candidates must have completed their doctorate less than 7 (seven) years ago, taking as a reference the expected date for hiring. And, if foreign researcher, fluency in Portuguese.

c) Curriculum Summary that demonstrates your potential as a researcher.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
