Offer Description
The Thematic Project “INCT Climate Change Phase 2” is offering a post-doctoral opportunity in “High-Resolution Climate Change Modeling” with scholarship funded by FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation. The research will be conducted at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) in São Paulo state, Brazil. The scholarship aims to generate scenarios of climate change through high-resolution climate modeling, addressing issues related to the global impacts of these changes.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. obtained within the last seven years in Environmental Sciences, Geosciences, Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, Earth System Science, Hydrology, or Water Resources, with experience in climate modeling using the Eta model;
- A minimum of four years of research involving the development and long-term integration (multi-decades) using high-resolution spatial climate models, with a multidisciplinary approach;
- Excellent teamwork skills in climate modeling, demonstrated through publications;
- Interest in multidisciplinary projects.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
