Offer Description
Your function
As VAIA-liaison, you are responsible within UHasselt for the lifelong learning offer in the broad field of AI.
The task package:
- You map out the existing supply.
- You support existing training programs where necessary.
- You identify gaps in the existing supply and identify ways to fill those gaps strategically.
- You develop and coordinate several new training programs.
- You help identify real AI training needs among professionals and researchers. To this end, you have insight into the opportunities for the field (companies, health care institutions, the service sector, the government, ...) or you are prepared to become familiar with them.
- You identify and document which existing training initiatives within UHasselt meet these needs.
- You identify and document which expertise within UHasselt can be applied to further and/or better meet these needs.
- In close consultation with the VAIA coordinator and the UHasselt project leader, you work out proposals for new courses. To this end, you establish the necessary contacts with relevant stakeholders inside and outside UHasselt. You do not hesitate to bring in additional expertise where required.
- You are fully committed to co-creation. Your focus lies with UHasselt, but you do not exclude other partners.
- You work systematically and transparently.
- You are a bridge between the VAIA-team and UHasselt.
- You will form a close team with your VAIA colleagues, who work in different higher education institutions in Flanders.
- In this role, you report to both the VAIA coordinator and the VAIA project leader within UHasselt.
Your team
VAIA, the Flemish AI Academy, is a collaboration of all Flemish universities and colleges and wants to let professionals and researchers in Flanders learn about artificial intelligence in a goal-oriented way. In this way, they learn to recognize and exploit its possibilities. In this way, we channel the available expertise on AI from the academic world to the business world, thus contributing to the Flemish knowledge economy. With our widely accessible range of courses we stimulate lifelong learning.
