YOUR TASKS

• You dedicate a minimum of 70% of your assignment to scientific research.
• You support the research, education, and scientific services of the Business Analytics pillar within the Business Informatics research group.
• You assist in the preparation of research proposals and the initiation of research projects (e.g., applied research for Flanders Make – the strategic research centre for the manufacturing industry in Flanders).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You hold a doctoral degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Engineering (with a major in Business Informatics or Management Information Systems), Business Economics (with a major in Business Informatics or Management Information Systems), Information Systems Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• You obtained your doctoral degree within the last 6 years. The 6-year period is determined based on the date indicated on the aforementioned diploma and the start date of the employment contract. 
• You have conducted research in Data Analytics or related fields.
• You have an interest in one or more of the following research areas: Process Mining, Text Mining (NLP), KDD, Deep Learning, Ontologies, and Knowledge Graphs.
• You have an interest in research and applications of IT in manufacturing environments.
• You have relevant scientific publications in international scientific journals or proceedings of international scientific conferences that have broad dissemination and rely on experts for the assessment of submitted manuscripts.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• We offer you a contract of indefinite duration with a maximum term of 2 years.
•  Your contract will start on 1/02/2024 at the earliest.
