Offer Description
  • You will work on the group’s data coming from sewer, bridge and infrastructure projects.
  • You will research NERF & DL photogrammetric technologies to improve the 3D reconstruction in these environments.
  • You will build a toolbox and a demonstrator, showing beyond SOTA results.
  • You will publish your research in at least one high-impact A1-journal (ISPRS, ICCV, etc.)
  • You will (co-)author a project proposal  (FWO, Industry) to continue this research.

Eligibility criteria
  • You have a PhD on a relevant topic in engineering, geomatics or similar.
  • You have published at least 2 publications as first author in international peer-reviewed journals, listed in the Journal Citation Reports of the Web of Science
  • You have an excellent English proficiency (C1), both in speaking and writing. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
  • Core technologies you are familiar with: NERF, Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Photogrammetry.
  • You are capable of programming and implementing both back- and front-end solutions, using (open source) APIs.
  • Evidence of being able to acquire additional funding (projects/scholarships) is a strong plus.
  • You are willing to work in an interdisciplinary team, co-managing PhD students and other researchers. Experience in this is an asset.
  • You have an inquisitive and creative mind, as well as good problem-solving skills. You can work independently and generate results.
