Our research group, located in the MOST group (https://uclouvain.be/en/research-institutes/imcn/most ) from the IMCN institute of Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium) is now looking for recruiting an outstanding and highly motivated Post-Doctoral fellow, funded by Université catholique de Louvain (FSR funding).
The research project will focus on the design of transition metal catalysts and/or photocatalysts, which will be grafted on plasmonic nanostructures to study their effect in catalytic reactions. This project will be carried out as a collaboration with Prof. Sophie Hermans (IMCN, MOST), a specialist of chemical functionalization on solid surfaces of nanostructures, and Dr Clémence Queffélec (CEISAM, Nantes, France), a specialist of plasmonic nanomaterials for catalysis.
Application: this research project will be part of a team effort from the group and supported by outstanding and motivated young researchers. An experience in homogeneous organometallic catalysis and/or photoredox catalysis is required. Autonomy and team spirit is also mandatory for this application. Good communication skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment is also requested from the candidate.
