Offer Description

We are seeking for a dynamic and proficient Post-doc fellow to contribute to our ongoing research on the cilia biology of C. elegans.

Although widespread in evolution, the release of extracellular vesicles by cilia is poorly understood. Our goal is to unravel the cellular/molecular mechanisms behind cilia ectocytosis. The successful candidate will engage in a multifaceted approach encompassing molecular genetics, genome editing, proteomics and cell biology of cilia in C. elegans. We are a supportive and active team located in an excellent scientific environment, and we collaborate with other excellent teams of the field. Join us in contributing to groundbreaking research in this exciting field. This position is available for an immediate start and for up to 3 years.

Description of your tasks:
- Design, perform and analyse experiments
- Writing manuscripts
- Participation in the supervision of students and in grant writing
- Active participation in lab meetings, scientific seminars and conferences

Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry;
- Strong publication record and experimental training;
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team;
- Strong motivation, creativity and analytical thinking;
