Innovation Officer

The Vrije Universiteit Brussel actively supports innovation and technological progress through research together with companies and by making its intellectual property and expertise available for commercial or societal applications, including through start-up spin-off companies. VUB TechTransfer, the operational service of the Innovation and Valorisation Vice-Rectorate, supports VUB researchers in the valorisation of their research results. 

With its applied research, the VUB wants to create a positive impact on society. The government's policy plans foresee major investments leading to new technological, medical and human-social applications in various domains in cooperation with industry. VUB research groups want to contribute to this, within the framework of European regulations and advised by its Ethics Committee. Good guidance of the research groups in the development of their business networks and the construction of consortia is crucial in this respect. 

Given the specific nature of this research, VUBTechTransfer is looking for an Innovation Officer for this purpose.
