Offer Description
The project relates to the development of dedicated software supporting the conception and optimization of manufacturing processes in the pharmaceutical industry, more specifically the production of vaccines, biological treatments, cell and gene therapies. Those manufacturing processes comprise complex sequences of unit operations associated with multiple settings and characterization data. The elaboration of those processes requires tedious efforts including numerous measurements as well as back-and-forth experiments. Pharmaceutical companies are therefore looking for solutions to reduce the time, effort, and cost of process development.
In the context of the project NEMO, the researcher will work in a multidisciplinary spirit at the elaboration of various mathematical models and numerical procedures for the several units of a production chain, with the objective to combine them ultimately into a global process representation and participating to the development of a software environment for systematic process modeling and digital twin deployment. The work will be carried out in collaboration with several teams including private companies involved in the pharmaceutical sectors and a public research center.
