The FUNC Linguistics research group of KU Leuven is looking for an enthusiastic postdoc who will conduct research within the field of English Linguistics as well as teach a number of English linguistics courses in the Language and Literature programme (BA and MA), at the Kortrijk and Leuven campuses.
Responsibilities
You will conduct research within the field of English Linguistics and teach the following courses:
V0AD7A Engelse Taalkunde I (first semester, 3 SP)
V0AD8A Engelse Taalkunde II (first semester, 3 SP)
F0AD7A Engelse Taalkunde I (second semester, 3 SP)
F0AD8A Engelse Taalkunde II (second semester, 3 SP)
F0AE2A Engelse Taalkunde III: tekstgrammatica (second semester, 4 SP)
You will supervise up to two bachelor papers and two master's theses in the field of English linguistics and will be engaged in outreach and recruitment initiatives.
Profile
You have a PhD in the field of English linguistics, a strong research record and have experience in teaching English linguistics at academic level.
Offer
We offer you a three-year position (80%) as a doctoral assistant within the stimulating research and teaching environment of the Linguistics research unit. Linked to this position is a salary in scale 44.
You will start on September 1, 2023 until 31 August 2026.
