Job description

As a Data Manager you will be a key person in reaching the outcomes of the EuMAR project and shaping the future of data collection in Medically Assisted Reproduction (MAR).

The objective of the EuMAR project (https://www.eshre.eu/Data-collection-and-research/EuMAR ) is to develop an overarching European, standardised, web-based data registry, containing high-quality cycle-by-cycle data entries from medical professionals across the EU, facilitating data sharing for open science across institutes and allowing the longitudinal and cross-border follow-up of the MAR data.

You will be responsible for:
  • Data Collection and Management: Oversee the data collection, organisation, and maintenance of the EuMAR Data Registry, ensuring data quality and security;
  • IT Development for EuMAR Data Registry: Help improve the EuMAR Data Registry's technology by actively participating in testing during the proof-of-concept phase and pilot study and act as the main contact point for the external IT developer. Overseeing the development of database connections via API;
  • EuMAR Registry Implementation Support: Support the smooth implementation of the Registry by creating a risk management plan, developing procedures and policies, including for data sharing for open science, and designing a data quality audit plan;
  • Data Visualisation for Stakeholders: Shape the development of user-friendly data access and visualisation tools for stakeholders based on insights from data analysis and benchmarking requirements;
  • Proposal Development for Additional Funding: Lead the writing and shaping of a proposal for a follow-up project to secure additional funding, highlighting the impact and importance of our work.

As data manager fully dedicated to the EuMAR Project, some more broader project managements tasks could be included in the responsibilities.

You will perform these tasks in close collaboration with the Project Support Team (PST) and you will report to the Project Steering Committee (PSC), the key decision-making body for the project.

Profile

The ideal candidate should have a university degree (min. bachelor level) in Data Science, (Health) Informatics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related field, with some experience in management of healthcare data. Knowledge on data visualization tools and API development is a plus.

You should have excellent communication skills (in English, both in writing and speaking), with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should have excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for driving meaningful impact through data. You should be able to manage multiple tasks, set the right priorities, focus on details, and see the bigger picture. As the project will rely on collaboration with different profiles and nationalities, excellent interpersonal skills and an open mind will be an important asset.

Offer

ESHRE offers you a challenging position within an international environment. ESHRE foresees an initiation and training period that will allow you to familiarise yourself with the organisation, the field of expertise and the EuMAR project. ESHRE offers an attractive salary and benefits package in line with your experience. After your initiation and training period, telework will be possible up to three days a week.
