As a Policy Advisor & Career Coach, you play a pivotal role in supporting PhD candidates in shaping their careers. You are responsible for developing, coordinating, and evaluating training programs and events focused on career development. Via close collaboration with internal and external partners, you enrich the training offer and contribute to the professional growth of researchers. You will join the Researcher Training & Development team, working alongside 9 other colleagues to shape the doctoral training and growth of researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

Development and Coordination of Training Programs: Manage and expand the existing training offer focused on researchers' career development. Develop initiatives to inform MA students about doctoral careers. Initiate and organize training sessions and events to inform researchers about various career opportunities. Participate in and contribute to inter-university discussions to share best practices and develop joint initiatives.

Guidance and Advising: Conduct one-on-one conversations with PhD candidates to guide and support them in further career steps and exchange experiences with other career coaches within the university.

Analysis and Policy Development: Follow up and analyze the university-wide exit survey for PhD candidates. Develop policy proposals based on data analysis, literature studies, and best practices from other institutions.

For this function, our Campus in Etterbeek will serve as your home base for two days a week, the other days you can work from home.
