Offer Description

We are seeking for a highly motivated candidate with a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry (or any related field) to conduct research in a starting FNRS-PDR grant aimed at the development of smart drugs for cancer immunotherapy. The fellowship will support the salary and lab costs for two years. The research will be focused on the synthesis and evaluation of small molecule immunotherapies for cancer treatment.

The candidate will have a mastery of knowledge in organic and medicinal chemistry, gained through his/her PhD. Theoretical and hands-on knowledge in computational chemistry (quantum chemistry, molecular docking, molecular dynamics, force fields) is a plus; as well as in vitro biology (cell culture, western blots, flow cytometry, misc assays).

ULB is the second largest university in the French speaking part of Belgium, at the heart of Brussel, the capital of Belgium and Europe.

If interested, please send a brief email and CV to Prof. Gilles BERGER ([email protected] ), head of the Laboratory of Medicinal and Translational Chemistry (https://gib-lab.com/ )
