University Assistant (prae doc)

The division of pharmaceutical chemistry at the department of pharmaceutical sciences sets a strong focus on interdisciplinary research and the expansion of international cooperation. We intend to expand knowledge and expertise in the field of drug design, optimization and testing. Thus, we are looking for a scientist with a background and distinct interest in these subject areas.

Research tasks include computer-based drug design and synthesis followed by the main focus of analytical methods (sample preparation, determining physico-chemical properties, chromatographic methods, metabolism, tissue distribution etc.). Besides the interdisciplinary research activities, participation in teaching activities and support of teaching courses are expected.

Participation in research, teaching and administration:
- Participation in research projects / research studies
- Participation in publications / academic articles / presentations
- the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.
- We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months.
- Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
- Supervision of students
- Involvement in the organization of meetings, conferences, symposiums
- Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research
